We trusted that it is safe and the strap-in buckle gave us even more peace of mind that our baby was safe. The “bed” of the mamaRoo also adjusts to more of an upright position or flatter, depending on what you prefer. The five different motions have a 5-speed setting and can be controlled with your phone.

It uses just enough space and won’t dominate your living room, nursery or wherever you decide to place it.We recommend going ahead and getting the insert for your newborn. Your baby will need it until they can fit in the mamaRoo on their own.
The only thing that we had to do was oil the mamaRoo at one point. We were using it pretty heavily and if you do so, you may need to do the same. We learned that this was a more common problem than we realized. The good thing is that there are several helpful videos on youtube that will walk through disassembling your mamaRoo and putting it back together. The location that was causing the squeaking noise was not the same location that was in the videos I found, but I was able to find the spot that needed oil, apply a little WD40, and we were good to go.
This minor pit stop was nothing compared to the benefit of using the mamaRoo. It also keeps your child calm if you need to move freely in your home under your supervision, of course. You will be able to complete your daily activities and know that your baby is in a safe place.
